Professional experience

--After finishing Graduate Law School of Waseda University (LL.M) in 1954, studied in the United States under the Fulbright Exchange Program from the fall of 1954 to August 1956, at Tulane Law School and Harvard Law School graduate programs.
--Started to teach at Waseda University Law Department and Graduate School, Private International Law and Intellectual Property Law (for 30 years until March 1997);
--Taught Intellectual Property Law at Sapporo University Graduate Law School for 4 years until March 2000);
--Taught Intellectual Property Law for Santa Clara University Law School, Tokyo Summer Program for 30 years until August 2012
--Taught International Licensing and Comparative Intellectual Property Law as a Visiting Professor at University of Washington Law School (Spring semester of 1968, and January to December 1969);
--Visiting Professor at Santa Clara University Law School teaching “Protection and Management of Intellectual Property” (September to December 2003);
--Copyright Council of the Agency for Cultural Affairs, serving as a member (1973-2000);
--Japan Copyright Law Association, serving as the President (1981-1996)
--Law Association for Asia and the Pacific (LAWASIA), Intellectual Property Committee, as chair (1996-2000).
